As women continue to advance to the top of the corporate world, TECO Energy is proud to play its part.
2020 Women On Boards – a national campaign dedicated to increasing the percentage of women serving on public company boards – again named TECO Energy a Winning “W” Company. Women comprise at least 20 percent of the boards of directors at companies recognized as Winning “W” Companies. The aim of the nonprofit, grassroots 2020 Women On Boards is to ensure that women occupy 20 percent of the positions on public company boards by 2020.
“We are proud to be recognized for our board diversity,” said John Ramil, president and chief executive officer of TECO Energy. “We believe our board should be representative of our diverse team members, customers and community and we benefit from what each board member brings to the company.”
TECO welcomed its first female board member in 1979 and has two women currently serving on its nine-member board.
